  • Bike share offers public transportation through a fleet of sturdy, well-maintained bikes available at docking stations across the city.

Ideal for short, one-way trips, riders can pick up a bike at one station and return it to another.

Check our app or online maps for station locations and availability. Check our mobile app or online station maps for station locations and dock availability.

  • Bike-share programs offer key differences from traditional bike rentals. They’re designed for short rides and allow flexibility to pick up and drop off bikes at different locations. With 24/7 access and unlimited rides during your pass limit, bike-share makes it easy to run errands or combine with other transportation without worrying about returning the bike to one spot.

  • To check out a bike, purchase a pass via our app.

In the app, tap your station on the map, select “Unlock Bike,” and choose a dock with an available bike. Tap the dock number and press “Unlock Bike” to release it.

Passholders with a GREENbike keycard can tap the dock’s silver button, and then hold the card to the reader to unlock the bike.

  • To end your ride, return the bike to any GREENbike station and push it into an open dock. The dock will beep and flash green to confirm your ride is complete. You’ll receive a text confirming the bike was returned, unless you’ve opted out of texts.

  • For Day Passes, the first 30 minutes of each ride are included. Once the 30 minutes are up, dock the bike. You can check it out immediately after if you wish to continue riding. With Day Passes riders can check out a bike for a 30-minute ride as many times as they want during that period. Riders that keep a bike out for rides longer than 30 minutes will be charged a $5 over-time fee.

For Annual Passes, the first 60 minutes of each ride are included. Once the 60 minutes are up, dock the bike. You can check it out immediately after if you wish to continue riding. With Annual Passes riders can check out a bike for a 60-minute ride as many times as they want during the year. Riders that keep a bike out for rides longer than 60 minutes will be charged a $5 over-time fee.

  • To keep the system running smoothly and maintain affordable prices, extra fees for extended rides encourage bikes to be returned when not in use. There’s no minimum wait between rides—simply return the bike to a station and check it out again, just like renewing a library book!

  • Riders need to be at least 18 years old to use GREENbike.

  • GREENbike bicycles are designed for easy and comfortable riding. They feature step-through frames, pedal-powered front and rear lights, baskets, three speeds, and adjustable seats. The recommended rider height is 5' and up, though individuals outside this range may find the bike comfortable or slightly less so. GREENbikes can accommodate riders up to 250 lbs.

  • To adjust the seat height, open the lever where the seat post meets the frame, then slide the seat up or down to your preferred position. Be sure to close the lever securely before starting your ride.

Each GREENbike has a numbered seat post, which is the same across all bikes, so you can easily set it for optimal comfort every time.

  • The front and rear-facing lights are powered by the rotation of the wheels. Start pedaling and the lights will turn on automatically. They’ll turn off shortly after you stop riding.

  • Each pass type allows you to check out one bike at a time. To have multiple bikes checked out at once, you will need a separate pass for each.

  • Yes, GREENbike sells Office Passes in bulk at a discount! For more information on what options may be available and how it works, please contact us.

  • No, gift cards are not accepted as a verifiable payment method.
